About GetMapGo
GetMapGo makes offline maps for hiking and backpacking trips in the United States. You plan a trip as an Atlas, download its maps, and carry it on your phone or on paper where there is no signal.
What we make
- GetMapGo app for Android and iOS, in beta: offline topo maps, routes that follow real trails, track recording, route following, weather and sun times.
- GetMapGo Plan, free in the browser: draw routes along real trails, add waypoints, check distance and elevation, and save an Atlas for the app.
- Print, part of Plan: turns an Atlas into a PDF map set at the scale you choose.
- CacheMap, free in the browser: an animated, county-by-county map of a geocacher's finds from their My Finds file.
What's different
- Offline first. An Atlas holds everything a trip needs, and it keeps working in airplane mode.
- Our own maps. GetMapGo hosts its own US map, terrain, contour lines and trail data, built from OpenStreetMap, USGS, Mapterhorn and US Forest Service sources.
- One file, phone and web. The same Atlas file opens in the app, in Plan and in Print, and it shares with your group as one small file.
- No accounts. No sign-up, no tracking cookies. Your files and your location stay on your device. See the privacy policy.
Who we are
GetMapGo is made by Spanyo LLC, a Kansas limited liability company.
